I've checked the web for Irish birthday wishes, and my, are they inventive - I loved the one that goes 'may you die in bed at age 95, shot by a jealous spouse' but I couldn't do that to TT.

So here's my wish:

As you slide down the banister of life may the splinters never point in the wrong direction.

And a small gift to go with it. Have a time-turner - sounds as if you have a use for them. And, above all, have a fabulous birthday!

There is a lot to be said for the Irish, but they are real story tellers and as far as birthday wishes go, they are the best...

The Irish blessings are really something! JD had searched for more after we read your wishes and we enjoyed them all. The Irish imagination just rules, it seems. I think, though, that you chose just the perfect one for JD, considering.

I think everyone who knows JD agrees she should have a time-turner. Although it drove Hermione nuts, too, so perhaps it's not a long-term solution.
