Just hop over to [livejournal.com profile] hp_beholder and read Fair is Fair and Life is Not (Though Tea Helps an Awful Lot).

It's Pomona/Filius.
It's beautifully written, with images that will bring tears to your eyes.
It's full of glorious touches of humour and wonderful details that'll make you feel as if you're present.

It's utterly brilliant. Get over now!

Oh, and for those of you who weren't in the same time-zone as The Wedding of The Century (on behalf of William's unborn children I'd like to protest - they might put up a good show, too, and it's not unreasonable to suppose they will do so before reaching retirement age), here's a link to what happened. I found this on [livejournal.com profile] shiv5468's journal and I loved it.

Isn't it great? I can't say I'm speechless, of course, since I left about a thousand words of praise, but I really did have a few moments after I finished it of just sitting there, awed.

I have my suspicions about the author, but of course, I'm usually wrong.

Too bad you can't get this one from the NYC subway ;-). It served you well last time there were bets on.

Wow. I just did. This is awesome. Perfect. Everything I love in fic.

And I love that clip. I have to say that my favourite of the whole real-existing lot is Camilla, and isn't it lovely to see her at an event looking as if she had actual fun *g*?

Camilla is great, but the Harry is spot-on, too. Loved the whole show. Much better than this morning, actually.

Okay, okay, I'm going!

So sorry the Royal Mail lost my invite to the nuptials; looks like a helluva party. (And where did they get that Princess Anne? She's spot-on.)

And where did they get that Princess Anne? Would that be Clarence House or Buckingham? And too bad about the Royal Mail problem - I'd have loved your report.

That story won't disappoint, I assure you.

Thanks for the rec! I yet have to write my review, but the fic is indeed just awesome! ♥

Argh, still owing my review... I'm mostly in bed with the summer flu, perhaps that can also serve as excuse for watching the other link only now. Now I haven't read or watched anything at all about the Royal Wedding, and know more or less only who's married whom ;o), but this clip is totally awesome! :o)
The likenesses sometimes are so close, it boggles the mind.

A truly wonderful story. I have such a deep appreciation for those authors who bring such life to otherwise one dimensional characters - and who allow them the full glory of their emotions, their foibles, their passions, their imperfections... Thank god for those writers who are bold enough to say that love, romance and sexuality are not exclusive to the young and "beautiful". Thank you for bringing this treasure to our attention !!
