For those of you who mostly hang out on Dreamwidth, please note that Hoggywartyxmas starts again on LJ. Since it's not possible to import complete communities to DW, and I want to keep all posts and action in one place, it'll remain LJ based.

You'll find the first mod post here.

Fantastic! I decided I need to remain real-old-lady-based this season (sad, but I'll need to get going on the big project), but I'll definitely go and figure out this Open ID thing so I can leave comments!

I think even anonymous commenting is allowed. Although it may be necessary for me to allow the comment, which will be no problem at all- I see all comments anyhow and will do so. You could always sign with just T. - people who know you will recognise you, and to others it doesn't really matter whether it's Tetley or Tis-the-anonymous-one.

Just FYI, it's possible now to import communities including the comments. What might or will be missing is content of some kind - for the Read-LotR-Aloud-comm the mp3 streaming applets didn't import, I think. Artwork wasn't any problem, nor stories, as much as I know, and for everybody who claimed their DW-IDs the user tags also link to the DW accounts.
What might become an issue for any comm on LJ is that if it's not in regular use, it might get deleted. One of the comms I'm a mod at, B2MeM, was facing this issue as it's active only during two months a year, which was one of the reasons the move to DW was decided.
For Read-Lotr-Aloud, I started to create a sister comm on DW just to backup everything when the LJ ToS business happened, and we're now going to decide if we move or keep both.
