Still Alive And Kicking My Students
Mar. 2nd, 2012 09:29 pmI've not exactly been posting a lot lately, but that's mostly because life is full of work. Good from a business point of view, but boring. I work, I read your posts, I comment, and that's it.
Currently I'm in the middle of a three-day cramming course. Day one is completed, and I can't wait for Sunday evening, when I wave the little dunderheads goodbye. They're a nice lot, though. They work hard, are extremely polite, and do whatever is in their power. Their very limited power, alas. Still, one must hope for the best.
A quick and appropriate drive-by rec: Watch Teaching!Snape. I found it an incredibly funny take on Snape, and with each hour I spend in my classroom, I find it a bit more appropriate.
And a great one for the OLSB: a marvellous take on Rolanda and Aurora, by the fabulous Musyc. Sunrise Promises. A short, beautifully-written slice-of-life tale with some great bodies and two wicked minds.
I hope to be back soon with something more interesting!
