Day 13 Spell you wish you could work without a wand.

Well, Accio suggests itself: if you're going to be lazy, better do it properly and not lift a finger (or wand).
On the other hand, I'm such a couch potato already, if I could do wandless Accio I'd probably grow roots.

The spell I'd really give quite a lot for is the one Hermione uses to shrink books. That would solve all sorts of problems at Spinner's End. But I wouldn't mind getting out a wand for it.

Cleaning spells would be handy, too. Then again, I use the cleaning time to plot my fanfic stories. So basically I need to do it by hand, or no fic would ever see the light of day. Not that cleaning helped much this week. Oh, Merlin, why did I choose that prompt for the [livejournal.com profile] minerva_fest?

The only one I think would be really useful in a wandless way is Petrificus Totalus. Fortunately, I've never been attacked or mugged (knocks wood), but if I were, I'd love to be able to cast a wandless Petrificus. Then you can get back your stolen property, and spend some time thinking of further spells. Devil's Snare. Boogey Bat Hex. Transfiguration. Snails are useful little creatures, the world can always do with another one.

Could babble on for hours. Anything to avoid the moment where I open a new Word document, save it as Minerva_fest draft 1, and stare.

So far, I've read your entries of today, saved an icon from [livejournal.com profile] minervas_eule's lovely meme-post, and looked at all sorts of other journal lay-outs with the idea of procrastinating changing my style. The only other one I found really tempting is called "Writer's Block". The Gods have a sick sense of humour.

Anyone knows a good Writer's Un-Block spell? With a possible side-helping of "Writer's Insecurity Remover"?
