[livejournal.com profile] minervas_eule came up with another great way to avoid tackling the [livejournal.com profile] minerva_fest story: an icon meme. This is how it works, and below the cut you find her selection.

- Reply to this post with the word ICONS! and I will pick six of your icons
- Make a post (including this info) and talk about the icons I chose
- Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts
- This will create a never ending cycle of icon glee.

I found "Lost in a book" first among [livejournal.com profile] kellychambliss's icons, with a different text. Fell in love with it at once, but I wanted my own text; icons really are rather personal things. So this is what I came up with.

The reason behind "Snape Paris" is a simple one. Found this picture when googling on Snape images; I've read French at uni, and Paris is my favourite city.

He's clearly enjoying himself so much - and as a teacher, I can sometimes relate to this. My first text choice was the famous last line from Tale of Two Cities: This is a far, far better thing I do than I have ever done before.
There's no way that fits an icon, so I chose "Life can be sweet" instead.

"Suspect anything" was made for me by the fabulous [livejournal.com profile] queen_of_snapes, who introduced me to picnik.com. She has a lot to answer for.

"Minerva hat and brooch" is a [livejournal.com profile] damemaggiedaily pic. [livejournal.com profile] diana_hawthorne, generous as always, allowed me to use it. Just love the pic.

"McSnape" combines it all: Minerva/Hooch, and Minerva/Snape snarky, gossipy friendship. It's one of [livejournal.com profile] tattooedsappho's, who also made my all-time favourite Hooch: "Save a broom. Ride a teacher." Whenever I see it pop up in her comments, I smile.
