TRS: I'd like to make that decision myself, thank you very much. From what I've heard, that funny little test of yours leaves the choice with the student anyhow. And this decision is far, far too important academically. Must be decided rationally and logically. By me.

TRS: I think Gryffindor would suit me. That Head of House is sex on legs seems an excellent teacher, and I think Transfiguration is a fascinating subject.
Sorting Hat: I think you've a strange sense of humour. Gryffindor, indeed! You nearly faint when you have to go to the dentist.
TRS: Erm ... Slytherin might do. Fetching colours. Love Potions, have dabbled a bit in them already. I could fancy those billowing robes Slytherin.
Sorting Hat: They're ambitious.
TRS: Meaning?
Sorting Hat: You spend hours reading, chatting, fantasizing, and generally bumming around. You'd have to give that up.
TRS: They do have a rather unfortunate Dark Arts reputation, don't they? Perhaps ...
Sorting Hat: Just leave it to me, will you? After all, I've highly nuanced, incredibly sensitive methods of finding out where you belong.
Now, according to this test, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff are both possible. Ravenclaw has an interesting door knocker, you know?
TRS: Really? What period? What style?
Sorting Hat: it asks very difficult questions, and only students who answer correctly can get into the Common Room.
TRS: You mean, after a Sorting Hat with a possible hard-disk error I now get a Doorknocker with Attitude? You know, that Professor Sprout really looks very nice. Comforting person. And even though I've black thumbs rather than green, I could still choose whatever subject I like from the curriculum. So from a strictly rational, academical point of view, the best place would be the house that has Little Tetley, Alcina, and Minervas_Eule, for I really liked them on the train Hufflepuff!
