wizard_love has the most delightful story featuring Irma Pince and Argus Flich. It explains why Filch took that course in Spellwork that is described in canon and why he hates Fanged Frisbees so much. Mrs Norris has a small but not unimportant cameo, and she, too, seen through Argus's eyes, is a thing of beauty.
It's beautifully IC, so Filch, who, like the troups of Midian, prowls and prowls around, knows all sorts of things he has no business knowing. However, to court Irma properly, he starts calling in favours, and that means we get all the gossip, too. Filius, you dirty devil!
And there's realistic descriptions of bodies. But we see Irma through Filch's eyes, too, so she's beautiful with silver strands in her hair.
