Time for a Little Trip
Jan. 25th, 2017 05:35 pmToday we went to an exhibition in the Frisian Museum, about two hours driving, so it was a very little trip, that I've wanted to see from the first moment I heard of it. And now we finally had the time.
Below the cut you'll find the image heavy story of how, half-way in the 19th century, in the tiny Frisian hamlet of Dronryp,

the first small steps were taken on a road that ended up as an inspiration for The Ten Commandments, Ben Hur, and Gladiator

( The Alma-Tadema exhibition: Classical Seduction )
