Day 18 A part of the books/movies that makes you cry.

Well, yesterday's little ruse clearly didn't help much. [livejournal.com profile] minervas_eule, [livejournal.com profile] kellychambliss, and [livejournal.com profile] tetleythesecond, while perfectly sanguine on the issue of hot sex between two respectable teachers with a considerable age-difference in an AU where one of them is resurrected, objected strongly to my not answering the meme question.

They were right, I didn't. Frankly, I was going to confess that I didn't cry at all while reading the books, not even when my favourite character died a beautiful, noble, heroic, and romantic death (black eyes looking into green ones, and for once that's a justified description of the iris).

And then I thought of all your touching answers, and the compassion and sorrow I should have felt. I was afraid you wouldn't want to play with me no more once you found out how cold-hearted I am.

I'll be perfectly honest. I didn't cry over the books.
And now the totally embarrassing bit. I did cry in the cinema, but at the end of the second movie, when Hagrid walks back into the Great Hall after his stay in Azkaban, and everyone screams and shouts and hugs him. I know that's a stupid moment to tear up. But I did. So there. Now you all know. Do your worst. I can take it - I'm a Shrieking Shack Survivor.

Day 19 Favorite 'ship(s).

I'm going to answer the next one, too, just as if nothing happened.
I've always had a soft spot for Poppy/Minerva. To me, it's so glaringly canon that it outdoes Albus/Gellert in in-textuality. And it was the first fanfic pairing I ever wrote.

Then Kelly drew my attention to Wilhelmina Grubbly-Plank, and I loved her. Willa, I mean. Well, and Kelly for pointing her out. And the idea of her (Willa) and Minerva. When it comes to writing, that's the couple I enjoy most.

As a reader, I love anything that is really well-written. But if I mention which pairings in particular, they're going to kick me for copying Tetley's essay. And I'm in trouble as it is.
