My to-do list includes 'read and comment on Beholder', but as I go I suspect that will naver happen. But I did read this, and I'm pretty sure I never told you how much I liked it. So here I am now, trying to restore my thoughts of then.

I liked the writing, I liked the POV, I liked that your Horace won't let the death of Albus kill his story, I liked how he meant to be a gentleman and life took over his Great Plans, I liked how Horace's voice was so different from what I usually read, and I didn't always agree with how he described what he liked and didn't like - but because of that he was more real to me than other characters that I might feel closer to... I'm sure there was more, but now I'm a bit off and tired. Yet, still, catching up on LJ after a few hectic days, I just wanted to let you know it was one of my favourites in this year's Beholder (didn't read them all, but of those that I did read, anyway).
