So good to see you on LJ! I've been meaning to send you a "welcome" message.
Your meme was great fun to read, esp. since we agree on so many things. I'm ashamed to admit, however, that I've never read Liaisons (although once I appeared in a production of A Little Night Music, and the song my character sang was called "Liaisons." Does that count? Okay, didn't think so.)
Random notes:
--I don't know how to do rich text accents, although I'm sure there's a way --You're right about Pratchett: definitely fantasy --The English title of Celestine is Prophecy. I've never read it; I can tell from the jacket blurb that it's far too New Age-y for me. --I loved the Little House books as a kid, too. They're rather controversial in the US now because of the depiction of Native Americans, so I don't know how often they get read in schools any more. --Montaigne! I should have found a place for him somewhere
